Central Area
Dear Mr. Martin:
GTE is in the process of reattaching two of its ducts onto the
bridge mentioned above, since the water line is in place.
Since we have several more feet exposed than we did before, we
are proposing the following:
1. To replace the transition ends of the existing PVC with split
steel duct. Specifications on this duct are following. For each
of the two ducts, it will take two 45 degree bends to transition
horizontally, a length of straight steel duct, and two more 45
degree bends to transition vertically.
2. To support the pipe with a mechanical clamp supported from
the water line's I-beam, using either a side clamp or one which
would go underneath the I-beam, as shown on the following.
Either clamp would attach to the I-beam without any holes being
drilled in the beam.
3. To transition around the abutment extension to a point where
we can tie back onto the existing PVCs, rather than dig
underneath the abutment extention.
If this meets with your approval, please let me know. If I can
provide any additional information, please contact me at (214)
318-3832.
Sincerely,
Mae Beth Whaley 7
