Re: VILLAGES OF COPPELL PHASES 3 & 4 REVIEW
Dear Ms. Daneshmond:
We completed an initial review of the subject study and
encountered a number of problems. The Elm Fork of the
Trinity and the Denton Creek Hec -2 models used in the study
as existing condition did not match the latest models from
the Coppell ongoing FIS study. There were no plots of water
surface profiles included in the model. The floodplain and
floodway delineations and proposed changes were shown in the
Reclamation Plan but not not included in an overall map of
the floodplain. A comparison between the existing and
proposed fill model for the cross sections shown as being
filled were identical. No fill was shown in the proposed
fill model.
We suggest a meeting to specify requirements and better
detail our comments regarding the submitted study. We do not
recommend approval of this study until further information is
provided.
If you need additional information, please call me.
Sincerely,
