Dear Mr. Russell:
Enclosed are preliminary construction plans for Force Main Lines A & B. The project consists of the
installation of 4697 L.F. of 20 -inch and 810 L.F. of 30 -inch force main. The majority of the force main
will be constructed in the median of MacArthur Boul The City is reviewing two alternate
construction methods for the installation of the force main: open cut and directional drilling. The
directional drilling will avoid many of the potential utility conflicts. Please review the enclosed set of
plans to determine if you have any utilities within the project limits, and provide me with any
comments that you may have. Also, please comment as to any precautions that should be taken to
protect your utilities.
