COLOR~D-TEXURIZED CONCRETE
1. l)escr£~lon..This Item chalk govern for the furnishing and placing
of colored-texuri2ed concrete in accordance with the detai~s shown
on the plans and the re~u£rements of these apec£ficatione-
2. Materials. All ~aterials shall conform with the respective
requirements of the Standard Spacification Items of -concrete for
Str~cturea", "Concrete Structures", ,.Concrete Admixt~res'~
"concrete Pavement (water Cement RatiO)" and/or ,,concrete pavement
(Continuously Reinforced)" with the follOwing exceptions:
(~) cement. Portland cement 6hall be Type I. The same brand
and source shall b~ used throughOUt the structure,
(2) CoarSe Aggregate. The coarse aggregate shall consist of
durable particles of natural or crushed gravel and shall conform to
Item 421, "Concrete for Structures". Gradation for coarse aggregate
shall be specified on the plans.
(3) Fine Aggregate. Fine aggregate shall consist of clean, hard,
durable and noncoated particles of natural or manufactured sand or
a combination thereof, with or without a mineral filler and shall
co~form to Item 421, "Concre=e for StructUres". Gradation for fine
aggregate be approved by the Engineer.
(~) Concrete. The concrete shall contain ~sack of per cubic
yard. An air entraining agent and/or a Type A water reducing or a
Type D water-reducing retarding admix=ute complying with standard
pacification Item -co~cre~e Admixtures" may be used.

(5) Integral color Admixture. Bomanite integral color Admixture (as

Corporation or a~proved equal is to be used. The color shall be as
specified on the plans.
(7) A¢~ll¢ Se&let. Sealer shall meet the requlrement~ of ASTM C-
