Dear Mike:
PlI find enclosed for your review a preliminary set of design plans for the proposed
sigaajs at the intersection of Belt Line and Mockingbird. These plans reflect the same
specific design elements that were previously discussed for the Moore intersection.
No right turn signal head for the westbound right turn only lane.
Two sets of loops on Mockingbird.
Median pullboxes are located to account for future widening of Belt Line.
Ali mast arms are 44' in length.
Set back loops are located at 370' and 500' from the stop bars.
Please confirm with your field staff the best location for the controller - we show this one
in the northwest comer.
We wiB revise the Belt Line and Moore signal design to show the controller in the northwest
comer as you requested. We will also add a near side signal head for southbound Moore
traffic because the distance to the signals on the south side of Belt Line Road exceeds 150
feet.
