Box 478 Coppell, Texas 75019 214-462-0022 RE: Beltline Road (ST93-04) Dear Mr. Thompson, Thank you for taking time today to discuss the Beltline Road project. As I stated in our conversation, the City is in the process of trying to fmalize the preliminary plans and then begin work on the final plan design. One of the components of the fmal plans is to design the drainage systems both in Beltline Road and north of Beltline Road. A constraint that we have encountered has been the fully developed runoff from the south side of Beltline Road. Upon further inspection of that area, it was noted that the majority of that area is owned by TU Electric. It was our opinion that for the foreseeable future, i.e., the next 20 or so years, this land would more than likely remain in it's current state. That being the case, we could drastically alter our drainage design layout. This in turn would probably preclude the City of Coppell from having to construct the offsite drainage improvements shown on sheet 1 of 2 as alternates 1, 2 and 3. I do not have a definitive deadline on providing this information back to Dallas County, but we are attempting to expedite this project so that the fmal plans can be completed and the project potentially put out to bid sometime this year. The only item included with this letter is a copy of sheet one of two of the Beltline Road plan. I am unsure what Ms. Karahan has in her files concerning this project, but if you need additional information please feel free to contact me at your convenience and I will attempt to provide you with whatever information you deem necessary to assist yourself and TU Electric in making a decision. Our final goal is to receive correspondence from TU Electric indicating that the land on the south side of Beltline Road will more than likely remain in its current state for the foreseeable future.
