Dear Ms. Brim:
Please find enclosed three sets of the preliminary drainage design submittal for the
referenced project. We have also revised the paving design to incorporate comments from the City
of Coppell dated January 25, 1996. The submittal also contains preliminary bridge plans and
preliminary right-of-way plans (1"=20'). We are also returning Dallas County's review set as
requested.
As indicated in your letter of August 26, 1996 to the City of Coppell, drainage
improvements have been designed using existing conditions runoff for the TU Electric property and
incorporates a drainage swale along the east property line of the Crow-Billingsley tract.
Halff Associates offers the following discussions and responses to comments contained in
Dallas County's review set of plans and the City of CoppeWs letter dated January 25, 1996:
Item #2 of the City of Coppell's letter addresses irrigation and traffic signal conduit.
We believe the location of these sleeves may be affected by utility relocations. drainage
design changes, and paver/sidewalk details. We request that design of these sleeve
locations be postponed until the project is developed further. We anticipate including
these sleeves in the final design phase of the project.
Item #9 of the City of Coppell's letter addresses brick pavers at the Moore Road and
Mockingbird Lane intersections. Based on the City's streetscape plan, it is our
understanding that both intersections should receive the same brick paver treatment (i.e.
major intersection - figure 4a). Further detailing of the pavers will be accomplished in
the final design phase of the project.

· Item #10 of the City of Coppell's letter expresses a concem regarding the existing 3-30"
RCP possibly conflicting with the proposed paving improvements. We have reviewed
this area and believe the existing RCP can remain inplace.
