RE: Woodlands of Coppell
Screening Wall & Landscaping Plans
Dear Mr. Lange:
The City of Coppell has received and reviewed the referenced plans and has the following comments
to offer:
1. The proposed retaining walls should be located outside of right-of-way and maintained by
Homeowner's Association.
2. Sidewalks should be located 1 foot off the property line, except in areas where you are
trying to avoid trees.
3. Consider connecting the proposed perforated ADS drain pipe located behind the proposed
retaining walls to the curb inlet located at the corner of Winding Hollow Lane and
Brookland Heights.
4. Show locations of water and sewer service for the guard house.
5. Retaining wall details need to be sealed by a register professional engineer.
6. Columns and piers shall not be located over storm drainage, water and sewer pipe. Verify
locations before construction of wall.
7. Gary Sieb, Director of Planning, has commented that the maximum height allowed for
screening wall is 8 feet. Contact him at 304-3675 if you have any questions or comments.
There are various other minor comments throughout the plans. Once these comments have been
addressed, the revised set of plans should be resubmitted to the City for review. If you should have
