Belt Line Road -- Project No. 490-403.1/91-829
(Denton Tap Road to MacArthur Boulevard)
Drainage Design
Dear Mr. Griffin:
This letter will serve as documentation for the items discussed during our telephone conversation of
August 23, 1996.
Item I.
TU Electric indicated by letter to Coppell that TU has no current plans for additional
development of the property adjacent to Belt Line Road. Coppell will provide a copy of TU's
letter to Dallas County. Coppell requests that the Belt Line Road drainage system be sized for
the current runoff conditions from TU's property and not for the property's zoning.
Item II.
Crow Billingsley indicated by letter to Coppell their agreement to provide an easement for an
earthen channel from Belt Line Road south. Coppell will provide a copy of Crow Billingsley's
letter to Dallas County. Coppell requests that the Belt Line Road drainage system be sized for
the current zoning of area J5 and that an interim channel be designed and constructed to drain
the current J5 conditions.
Item III.
Coppell has a City Council work session scheduled for September 10, 1996. At that time,
Coppell will discuss the possibility of constructing the County's Belt Line Road project before
the County's Sandy Lake Road project. Coppell will inform the County of the City's preferred
construction sequence after September 10, 1996.
Item IV. The County will direct the engineering consultant to design the drainage system as outlined in
Items I and II.
If you do not agree with any of the items listed above, please contact me immediately. You may reach
me at 653-7151.
Sincerely,
Project Engineer
