I am writing this to verify om' phone conversation this morning, and to make sure that I understood thc
city r~qui~ correctly.
As we discussed we will use C-900 DR-14 Class 200 CPVC Blue Bmr pipe for the tmderground fire main
The tapping sleeve and valve will be Steel.
Mcgalug retaining glands will be ur, ed.
D~ctil¢ iron pipe will be used within five (5) feet of the outside of the building and will be continued to
the stub-up inside the building.
We are attempting to contact Ted Dutt concerning the pit lid. As I understand it, thc decision to use the
steel lid rather than a concrete lid will be Ted's and you do not care which one is used.
Please, feel free to make any corrections or additions to this letter and return it to me by Monday, July 21,
