Attending: Ken Griffin, City of Coppell Mike Martin, City of Coppell Tom Knicker, Halff Associates Jill, Brim, Dallas County Item 1 - four options were proposed for drainage basin B. Option I - lower the runoff coefficient of the TU Electric (TUE) property. Mr. Griffin stated that he would make contact with TUE to determine their future development plans for the property. This option could have positive repercussions along the entire project. Option !! - utilize the existing 10' drainage easement at Station 12+00. The existing easement is between a warehouse and a railroad spur. The proposed pipe is 48" in diameter. The estimated cost for this option is $200,000 exclusive of. the necessary additional easement costs. Option III - acquire a new drainage easement approximately 700' east of the existing 10' drainage easement. The estimated cost for this option is $150,000 exclusive of the necessary additional easement costs. Option IV- increase the size of the drainage trunk line for basin C and the take drainage basin B to the outfall of basin C. The estimated cost for this option is $450,000. 411 EImStreet Dallas, Texas 75202 653-7151 I Mr. Ken Griffin, P.E. May 14, 1996 Page 2 Item 2 - Two options were proposed for drainage area J-5. Option I - design the system to accept the runoff from J-5 at the existing elevation. Due to the elevation of the downstream system, this will result in a 0.00% grade in the basin J trunk line. Option II - design the system to pick-up the runoff from J-5 at the future developed and filled elevation. The system would be temporarily plugged at lateral J-5, and a swale would be construcLed to allow J-5 to drain to Grapevine Creek until the area is filled and developed. Item 3 - Coppell agreed to allow the HGL for the 10 year event on Grapevine Creek to be used as the beginning HGL for the pipe design. Information will need to be provided to show that the 100 year HGL for Grapevine Creek does not inundate additional areas due to the pipe design. Item 4 - Coppell needs a preliminary copy of the right-of-way document for the corner clip at the southwest corner of Belt Line and MacArthur. The document should also show any proposed slope easements and drainage easements. Item 5 - Coppell needs to know the proposed limits and areas of the Item 2, Option II drainage easement; the slope easement along Belt Line Road; and the drainage easement at the Grapevine Creek bridge for the Billingsly property. Items 4 and 5 will be provided by the County's consultant by Friday, May 17, 1996. Please call me at 653-7151 if you have any questions. Sincerely, filM.
