On behalf o¢ First Baptist Church of CoppeI1, I would like to bring to your attention a concern regarding a
p,~r~ion of the propos,zd public sidewalk along Denton Tap Road. Thc side~valk was requested to be
cared within a 10 f¢;ot s~dewalk easement, beginning one (1) foot from the right-o£-way line, by the
~ar~umg Depalmmnt
A portion of this proposed sidewalk, located south of the southern driveway approach (aoout 20 feet in
length plus the accessible ramp), must be built adjacet~t ;o an existing recessed curb inlet, 'Mth top of inter
elevation of 493.85. Ihe~efore, the proposed sidewalk elevation should match the top of the curb inlet.
Thc ex:sting ground elevation at the southern property line is approximately 2 feet higher than the
e!evat~on of the proposed sidewalk, which creates a hazard for pedestrians. Since there is not an existing
s~dcwalk to tie into on the southern adjacent properly at this time, First Baptist Church requests that only
the proposed accessible ramp adjacertt to thc southern driveway be built in the inter, m, with thc remaining
2(} +/- fcct of sidewalk to be constructed if and when the southern adjacent property constructs a public
sidewalk along their nght-of-way line. Attached to this letter is a drawthg ol-the area in question.
