Repainting of the 1.5 Million Gallon Elevated Storage Tank
Dear Ms. Vaughn;
On behalf of the City of Coppell, Advantage Contract Service, Inc. is hereby directed to proceed with the work
required to repaint the interior bowl of the 1.5 Million Gallon Elevated Storage Tank. The scope of work is outlined
in your contract with the City dated February 8, 2000.
The contract documents provided for a notice to proceed to be issued on February 25, 2000 with the completion of the
interior tank repaint no later than April 25, 2000. Due to other projects critical to the safe operation of the water
system, this project has been delayed seven (7) calendar days. Therefore, your new completion date for having the
interior bowl of the tank repainted and back in service is Tuesday, May 2, 2000.
If you have any questions or need additional direction, please do not hesitate to contact this office.

Gentlemen:
We are handing you two fully executed copies of your contract with the City of Coppell, for the repainting of
the interior of the 1.5 million gallon elevated storage tank. These sets are for your files.
In addition we are handing you five sets of plans and specifications for your use during the construction phase
of the project. Please be sure to have at least one set on the project site at all times.
Finally, the contract documents state the completion date for this project is April 25,2000 assuming a February
25th Notice to proceed by the City of Coppell. Due to another ongoing water system project, the notice to
proceed for this project must be postponed at least one week. As provided in the contract documents, the
contract completion date will be adjusted accordingly. Therefore, a notice to proceed will not be issued today.
We will keep you informed of the progress on the other water system project and provide you with the City 's
anticipated schedule for starting this project as soon as it is known.
