C I T Y * 0 F January 14, 2004 Re: Dear Fence Relocations Villages of Coppell Phase IIlB Lots 30 thru 35, Block A/924 thru 944 Brentwood Drive This letter is written as a follow-up to my December 22, 2003 letter concerning construction of fences in a portion of the Deforest Road right-of-way adjacent to the rear of your property. At the January 13, 2004 City Council meeting action was taken to revise portions of the Windsor Estates Planned Development. Also, at the meeting City Council reaffirmed that the license agreements entered into in July 2003 are still valid. A memo has been sent to Building Inspections releasing any hold on permits for the relocation of fences associated with lots 924 thru 944 Brentwood Drive. Prior to relocating your fence, a fence permit will be required from Building Inspections. Also, I would recommend that you have your property surveyed to determine your exact rear property line location. This will enable you to know where to relocate your fence so it is no more than 10 feet outside your rear property line. When relocating your fence, you should be aware that there is still drainage that flows from the west to the east in the Deforest Road right-of-way. That drainage flow will need to be maintained, even after the fences are relocated. This means that portions of the side fence may need to be elevated above the ground level to allow for the unrestricted flow of water. All fence material should be in compliance with the City's Fence Ordinance. You also may need to check with your Home Owners Association to determine if there are any fence material restrictions. If all the fences are going to be relocated, you may wish to consider using the same fence material to provide a more uniform finished product.
