No change on my opinion. I was supposed to meet w/ the HOA on 1/5/04 but they did not show It has
been rescheduled to next week.
in rewew~ng the video taken prior to beginning work in 1998, Kent Collins noted at 3 columns that the wall
was already pulling away from the columns It's difficult to see oil the video, but, again Kent notes the
problem in his commentary.

I have not received any new information regarding the Allencrest/Woodcrest brickwall thus I will have to
say the City's position is based upon the previous information information that I forwarded to you from Ken
Griffin Director of Public Works/City Engineer.

As for as the wall on Sandy Lake, I have not inspected the wall as the
claim stated If someone called me about the wall, I would have just
told them to file a claim with the City. I have seen the wall and it

could be in danger of falling However, I would question whether the
construction of Sandy Lake had any thing to do with it This may be a
case where a specialist may have to be retained to offer an opinion. I
walked Sandy Lake today for another reason and noticed that the wall in
question ~s missing a lot of mortar between the bricks and that there
are no b~ick ties connectiog the section of wall in question to the
column I also understand that a car ran through this wall in the past
before the start of the project. If this is the same area, then the
prior repair may be an ~ssue I'm going to check and see if I can
obtain a police report from P D.
I do not believe this is a contractor issue
