The specifications and bid documents prepared by Jacobs and given to us in January 2003 are our boiler
plate documents. I have been using the pay items included in the bid documents to work on the pay
item descriptions. I need additional information for the pay items, such as the type and grade of the flex
base, which Type 2 drawing is to be referenced for the precast barriers, type of retaining walls, type of
riprap, etc. I am attaching my draft pay item descriptions - please keep in mind that the descriptions
have not been reviewed by Ken or the inspector. I am just putting something together for them as
a starting point.

Do you have a draft copy of the specifications and bidding documents. In addressing comments I want to
make sure any references we have on the plans are closely tied to the bidding forms, pay items, and spec
items. An incomplete set would be fine. It will just help give me some direction inaddressing the
comments.
