ST9304-CS 950623 Dallas County ~blic Works 411 Elm Street Dallas, Texas 75202 RE: Beltline Road (MacArthur//Denton Tap) ST 93-04 Dallas County Project #490-403.1 / 91-829 Dear Ms. Schneberger: The City of Coppell has received and reviewed the referenced plans and has the following comments to offer: 1. Provide storm drainage computations and profiles. Also, how is the drainage system designed? Will the inlets and system carry the 100-year storm? Refer to the drainage area map for additional comments. 2. Provide an 8 foot brick paver band at all street intersections. Refer to the City's Streetscape Plan and standard details. Also, show brick paver bands and required ADA improvements on the intersection detail sheets (Sheets 26-28). 3. On Sheet 6, two storm drainage inlets are located at a median break. This could cause a problem with any future driveway that would line up with the median opening. Therefore, they should be relocated. 4. On Sheet 8, relocate the storm drainage inlet 20 feet from the railroad crossing. 5. As per the City's storm drainage design standards, all low point inlets must be a minimum size of 10 feet with 21 inch lateral RCP. 6. Please provide a note stating that all existing sanitary sewer manholes, water valves and meter boxes shall be adjusted to proposed grades. 7. Provide a detail sheet for the left turn lane markings. / 8. Will there be any work in the channel sections upstream and downstream of the bridge over Grapevine Creek? 9. On Sheet 24, the median opening should be a minimum of 60 feet wide. 10. Please provide a conduit under the pavement for street lights at Moore Road and Mockingbird Lane. 12. At the intersection of Beltline and Moore, please extend the median approximately 80 feet to the east (refer to Sheet 13). There are various other minor comments throughout the plans. Once these comments have been addressed, the revised set of plans should be resubmitted to the City for review. Also, once the final plans are submitted there could be additional comments concerning the drainage. If you should have any questions concerning these comments, please contact me at 304-3681.
