Re: Stone wall modifications
Larry-
The stone wall modifications noted on the following pages are what the engineer and I believe
are what you are requiring to bring the area up to safety standards for pedestrians on the
sidewalk. If these modifications meet with your approval, then the engineer (Robert
Schneeberg) will put them on his civil drawings and get them to you to include in your as builts.
As soon as I have your approval on these, I will get my sub-contractors scheduled to get these
modifications started and completed as quickly as possible so as to wrap up this project, get the
C.O. for the owners and move on to other projects.

Attached is a sketctl whicfl depicts my understanding of the wall modifications required by the City
Inspector, Larry Davis. The wall should be ~ised to heights noted at throe points on this sketch. The
wall should be raised to metc~ a ~i~g line between tbese throe points. Alter the wall has been raised,
[t should be back-ffloci vath a fme~y drain~g granular material (sand) and the sec[ ~-installed to a level
which matches the height of the wall and the adjacent sidewalk.
[ would suggest that the contractor have Mr. Davis apomve wall height after the string line has been
set, prior to the actual wal cons~uctJon.
