Paragon Cable Service Disruption
At the Telecommunications Board meeting on October 17, 1995, two representatives
from Paragon Cable, Lance Lamberton and Bob Maeioeh, responded to questions
about the recent disruption of cable service to certain Coppell citizens.
Mr. Macioch, Chief Engineer for Paragon, informed the Board that since September,
1994 there have been ten documented instances of construction workers cutting their
cable in the area of Bethel School Road and Hawk. He also gave figures of Paragon's
costs to repair the lines after cuts occurred. These cuts have affected approximately
150 cable customers.
Please have someone in your department look into whether the contractor for the
project is aware of Paragon Cable's location, and also whether the city or Paragon has
any recourse in the event that cable service is disrupted again due to possible
negligence on the contractor's part.
