Dear Sirs:
My husband and 1 have lived in Coppell for about one and a half
years. We are really happy here. I think the city does an excellent job for
its citizens, but I do have a few suggestions and requests.
First of all I think a traffic light at the corner of Sandy Lake Road
and MacArthur is necessary. The rush hour traffic in the morning_ and in
the afternoon makes it difficult to cross or turn onto Sandy Lake from
MacArthur. Another suggestion I have is probably an extremely expensive
undertaking. Bethel Road is in need of repairs or repavinn__. I and many
others use this road frequently, and it is not a comfortable drive. Part of
the problem, 1 know, is the construction for the new mail fa~h'ty. Please
consider these problems in your budget proposals.
The request 1 have concerns a field directly behind om' house on
Lake Forest Dr. In the year and a half that we have lived he~e, it has never
been mowed. It looks terrible. I am under the impression that the city
owns this property, and I think it should be better kept. We also have a
severe erosion problem on our street and alley. There is sand everywhere,
so when it rnin~, we have mud everywhere. There has been grass planted
in the vacant yards, so the erosion problem may he over, but now there is
still mud in the alley. If the sand could be moved, we and our ueighbors
would greatly appreciate it.
