Dear Mr. Ted Searcy,
Thank you for bearing with us regarding the removal of the
building located on the corner of Southwestern Blvd., and
Beltline Rd. When we received notice to remove the building
I, presented the request to the City Council, The Council
decided that the building should be auctioned off to the
highest bidder with an agreement that the purchaser remove
the building within 30 days following Council approval of
the bid. The legal requirements for selling city owned pro-
perty requires public notice in the official city newspaper
for a minimum period of 14 days.
Needless to say we have been unable to meet the deadlines
you have requested. The Council did however award the bid
to the Minyard Corporation, and they are in the process of
making the necessary arrangements to move the building. I a~
forwarding your letters to Mr, Bo5 Minyard, and will suggest
that he contact you to let you know of the details as soon
as possible,
Again, thanks for your patience and cooperation. The City of
Coppell, wants to see that corner cleared and improved and we
look forward to working with you on the development of Gate-
way Industrial Park.
Sincerely,
Ron Ragland
City Manager
