Has TXU approved the strectlight design'? A detail of thc TXU standard street light foundation will need to be provided in thc plans or specifications We previously discussed relocating the newer fire h~,drant and valve assemblies and replacing the old fire hydrants and assemblies a The Streets Department will check fire hydrants to determine whether to replace or relocate b Valves need to remain ~n their present location The Streets Department will check valves to see if they am operable or need to be replaeed The plans call for all of thc ~xater meters to be relocated and there arc existing water meters that are not shown Thc Streets Department will locate, mark, and chcck water meters to determine whether they need to be relocated or abandoned We will need a list of the trees dcsignatcd for removal Thc trees ~vill nccd to be marked and removed prior to thc start of construction The trees will need to be removed to approximate Station 58+00. 6 GTE telephone vaults (Sheets 8, 12, & 14) located along thc north side of the roadway conflict with the proposed improvements and are difficult to relocate Has GTE commented about their proposcd relocation'~ Can thc north curb be moved 2 feet to the south to avoid the vaults? The paving plan/profile sheets need to show the following information: a high point station, elevation, and flow arrows b. top of curb elevation at all of the curb inlets The storm drain plan/profile sheets need to show top of curb elevations at all of the curb inlets. Need to coordinate the design of the roadway with furore development of the T/E Northpoint Partners, Ferguson Realty Company, and Four Seasons Addition parcels. We are currently working with the developers of the Ferguson tract Design of the storm drains and median openings, drainage casements may necd to be revised. 9. The City will check location of the gravel drives in the field to determine whether they are needed Do we need concrete aprons on the gravel drives or curb openings only? 10. Need to correct the parcel ownership on the paving plan/profilc sheets to agree with Sheet 6. I 1. Install 2" blow-offat the end of each 8" PVC stubout. Thc plugs on the 8" PVC stubouts need to be prefabricated 12. Do we want to extend stamped concrete in the narrow median sections - sheets 17, 18, and 197 13. Need sufficient detail on all ADA access ramps and sidewalks to ensure that the plans are in compliance with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations. This includes the correct slope, correct width, correct texture, and correct color differentiation. SHEET 2 GENERAL NOTES Note I Revise first sentence to read: "All materials and construction shall conform to the City of Coppell Standard Construction Details and specifications and these plans and contract documents" In case ora conflict between will the engineer's decision be final? 2 Note 10 Revise last sentence to read: "Any necessaw re-tests due to the failure of original tests shall be at contractor's sole expense and shall be billed directly to the contractor." Note 15 Revise note to read: "All fill areas within the right-of-way shall be compacted to 95% standard proctor density in accordance with ASTM D698 at, or up to 5 pcrcentage points above, optimum moisture content/' 4. Notc t7 All concrete for construction shall be Class "A" concrete having a nfinimum of 5.5 sacks of cement per cubic yard and a minimum compressive strength of 3,500 psi at 28 days. 5 Note 18 - Delete this note. 6 Note 25 - Change "6-inch flex base" to "6-inch compacted flex base." Add to end of' note: "Prior to processing each monthly pay request, all urgent project related issues shall be resolvcd. These may include, but are not limited to, safety, erosion, dust, noise, traffic control, ingress and egress, clean up, citizen complaints, etc." 7 Note 27 Add to end of note: "RcgulatoD' and informational signs shall remain visible throughout the construction process and may have to bc relocated multiple times" Note 34 - There needs to be a minimum of 3-feet of clearance from all obstructions around the fire hydrant SHEETS 3 & 4 i All concrete for construction shall be Class "A" concrete having a minimum of 5 5 sacks of cement pcr cubic yard and a minimum compressive strength of 3,500 psi at 28 days. 2. The maximum slope in thc parkway is 2%. 3. Thc recently constructcd section of Coppell Road is 8-inch pavement 4. Need the pavement thickness shown on the Royal Lane typical section. 5. Need a Lypical section on the State Road asphalt transition. 6. Show the flex base extending one foot beyond the HMAC on the typical HMAC transitions SHEETS 5 & 6 I Show appropriate match lines 2. Do we need a drainage easement for thc drainage structure located at approximate Station 13+50'? SHEET 7 1. Station 8+ 10.97 - Provide a grate inlet detail or change to City of Coppell standard "Y" inlet detail. SHEET 8 Do we need asphalt curb around the median in the asphalt transition in order to prov/dc proper cross4rainagc for median and provide lane delineation for traffic flow? 2 Need more information on the grading plan for proposed inlet at Station 11+21.74 The flow- line of the inlet is higher that the adjacent curb elevation 3 Sheets 8 & 21 - The streetlight conduit in the median nose of Royal Lane is shown going to the traffic box. Nccd to pour new a foundation and connect to existing wiring. TXU will need to remove the existing street light. Removal of the existing foundation will need to be addressed. 4 Sheet 8 & 21 - Elevations that should be the same on both sheets do not match. Need to ensure that matching grades and elevations are shown correctly on both Sheets 8 and 2 I. Sheet 21 Sheet 8 S.EP.l 1+10.82 S.E.P.1 12+3751 LTPI. Elev - 522.07 RT PI Elcv. - 521 65 SHEET 9 1. Drive at Station 14+3390 - Property is being developed and the drive may no longer be needed If required, change the 12-inch CMP to 15-inch CMP and show the required length. SHEET 12 1 Necd to coordinate relocation of fire hydrant at Station 26+93 north with future dcvelopment of Fcrguson tract. Show a heavy line if the fire hydrant is to be relocatcd. 2 Shoxv the 12-inch water line west of Northpoint Drive. (drawing attached) 3 Show the t?pc and the limits of the fence that is to be removed. SHEET 15 I Do we want to replace the barbw/re fence along the Callejo property? As previously discussed, a median opening is needed for the Industrial Park Access Drive. Show the width of the proposed roadway where it ties into the existing roadway 3. Nced to ensure that crosswalk meets the ADA requirements Are ramps and curb opening required? SHEET 27 Need to ensure that crosswalks mcet the ADA requirements on both Oakbend Drive and Branchwood Drive The both exceed the 2% maximum cross slopc. Show the width of thc proposed roadway where it ties into the existing roadway Show the station location of the inlets.
