Construction Materials Testing
Dear Mr. Dryden:
Enclosed please find a set of plans and specifications for the above referenced project.
The project consists of the installation of approximately 230 linear feet of a pier-founded,
tieback, gabion retaining wall. The retaining wall consists of 102 vertical feet of 18-inch
diameter reinforced concrete piers, 23 cubic yards of reinforced concrete beam, 17
passive soil anchors, and 155 cubic yards of 3'x 3' PVC coated gabions. It is anticipated
that construction will begin in May 2004.
Please provide an estimate of the type and number of construction materials tests required
for the project based on the construction plans and the City's standards and submit a
proposal for the testing, The contractor is responsible for payment of materials testing
done before 8:00 a.m. and after 5:00 p.m
