Old Townhomes-CS040415 (2)From: To: Date: Subject: Keith Marvin Meza, Danny 4/15/2004 6:36:26 PM Re: OLD COPPELL TOWNHOMES Danny/Grant, I looked at the plans you sent, and it appears that the grades shown on the 1965 plans are not correct. Based on the survey I sent you yesterday there appears to be a slope of approximately 1% between the manhole south of your location, and the manhole to your north. Based on these grades being significantly different than the original plans (1965) I recommend that you pot-hole the line at the location where your sewer comes out to Coppell Road. If this line is deeper than we currently think it is, and your line in McNear Drive can flow into it, we can tie in at that location. This would also allow us to cross over that line with our proposed water line. If this is not the case, than the plans as submitted would be acceptable with the change to transfer the service at the business south of you to the new line. We can handle this in one of two ways, you can submit the plans for the city stamp with the one change, and our inspector will make the decision in the field and we can change the plans for the as-builts. Or you can pot-holing and determine which way you need to go before you submit the plans for our stamp. The storm sewer sheet can be submitted for the city stamp as is. Feel free to call with any questions or comments. Keith R. Marvin, P.E.
