RE: Paving & Drainage Improvements at 123 Sandy Oak
Mr. O'Dell,
Assuming your elevations are correct, we have a .4' fall along Sandy Oak from the alley
approach to the intersection and a .2' fall across the intersection. The existing curb and gutter
has settled and slightly rotated causing water to be held. By removing and replacing 130 L.F. of
curb and gutter, I am confident we can move the water systematically to the intersection with
little temporary residual ponding. In order to move the water across the intersection, I
recommend improving the valley gutter by removing and reshaping a new asphalt valley gutter.
It will also be necessary to replace a strip of asphalt along the new curb and gutter in order to
blend the new gutter elevation to the existing street profile. The new valley gutter will be done
half-width in order to accommodate the traffic but would be completed in one day. Allow three
(3) days to remove and replace the curb and gutter.
130 L.F. curb and gutter ~$30.00/per L.F. $3,900.00
One day for asphalt/demo crew (inc. material) 3,000.00
TOTAL $6,900.00
Thank you for the opportunity to quote this project. Please call if we can help.
Sincerely,
