MOISTURE TO ACHIEVE SPECIFIED COMPACTION DURING TIMES WHEN OUR
OBSERVER IS NOT PRESENE AND AT LOCATIONS OTHER THAN THOSE TESTED
TEST DATA ARE NOT THE SOLE BASIS FOR OPINIONS ON WHETHER THE FILL MEETS
SPECIFICATIONS.
PROGRBSS REPORT AS REQUESTED, PBT MADE A SITE VISIT TO OBSERVE AND TEST THE UTILITY TRENCH
RECONSTRUCTION. THE PBT TECH PERFORMED AN IN-PLACE DENSITY TEST (N0. 189] ON THE UNDISTURBED
MATERIAL PLACED IN THE ORIGINAL TRENCH PRIOR TO RECOMPACTION. ONCE THE CONTRACTOR HAD ROLLED THE
BOll"OM OF THE TRENCH AND OBTA NED A SU TABLE DENSITY THE GEO-TEXTILE FA~!C WAS PLACED. [HE
CONTRACTOR THEN BEGAN TO PLACE THE BACKFILL MATERIAL IN 8" LIFTS BE1WEEN ~ ~ ~'~, 0+90.
EACH LIFT WAS ROLLED UNTIL A MINIMUM OF 100% COMPACTION WAS OBTAINED.
