NEW PROCTOR SAMPLE WAS OBTAINED IN THE AREA OF STATIONg+OO. THE CONTRACTOR OBTAINED THE MATERIAL
IN THIS AREA FROM A SOURCE NOT PREVIOUSLY SAMPLED. TESTS 1 O0 THROUGH 103 WERE PERFORMED AT THE
BOITOM OF THE TRENCH PRIOR TO RECOMPACTION. THESE TESTS INDICATE VERY LOW COMPACTION DURING THE
ORIGINAL CONSTRUCTION. WE OBSERVED THE CONTRACTOR APPLY ADDITIONAL COMPACTIVE EFFORT TO THE AREA
REPRESEN"~D BY TEST NO. 106 AND NO RETEST WAS REQUIRED. 96, 98,
IN OUR OPINION. FILL COMPACTION MEETS SPECIFICATIONS AS INDICATED BY OUR OBSERVATIONS AND TEST NO'Is' -
