Z}' PRIOR TO THE RECOMPACTION OF THE TRENCH BOTTOM, A MOISTURE/DENSITY TEST WAS PERFORMED AT ST.A, ~+40.~ THE DRY UNIT WEIGHT OF THIS MATERIAL AT THIS LOCATION WAS 101.5 PCF AT 11.8% MOISTURE. AFTER A MINIMUM COMPACTION EFFORT WAS APPLIED, A 2ND TEST WAS PERFORMED AND A DRY DENSITY OF 110.0 PCF AT 10.5% MOISTURE WAS OBTANED. THE PROCTOR VALUE USED FOR THE MATERIAL. BEING TESTED [LT. BROWN & TAN SAND) WAS 114.4 PCF AT 6.6% MOISTURE [VALUE FROM THE ORIGINAL CONSTRUCTION]. THE COMPACTION PRIOR TO RECOMPACTION WAS 89% AND 96% AFTER RECOMPACTION. ~ ~'~1 OUR OPINION.
