RE: Coppell Crossing, l,ot 4; Clarification of Meter Loop vs. Meter Setter
Dear Mr. Campbell:
This laxv firm represents Coppell Crossing Four, Ltd., owner of Lot 4 Coppell Crossing.
It is my understanding that the certificate of occupancy for the above-referenced property is
being withheld by you based upon a requirement that my client inslall either a meter loop or a meter
setter; both sam requirements have been mentioned and neither has been specified by your office.
Please immediately forward to me via facsimile the City ordinances and/or building code requirements
which (a) indicate that the City h~ the authority to require either the meter 10op or the meter setter and
(b) defining the circumstances in x~hich a meter loop, versus a meter setter, is required, and vice-versa.
The City of Coppeli is hereby put on notice that the owner of Coppetl Crossing, Lot 4, will
seek reimbursement from the City for all expenses incurred installing meter loops and/or meter setters
which are not required by City ordinance, tegether with actual damages suffered as a result of the
arbitrary and capricious withholding of my client's certificate of occupancy.
