Proposal for Re-Design
R&A No. 06940600
Dear Ken:
I was pleased to learn that the project might actually proceed and I hope that
our approach to determining the revised fee was truly acceptable.
Because of the very short time for preparation and the adjustments made in
your office, I thought it would be well to restate some of the conditions upon
which Rady's position was developed.
· Conceptual Phase
One single line presentation of the back of curb, staff review,
adjustments, and final council review. Council concerns will be
addressed in preliminary drawings, not a concept revision.
The back to back curb separation will vary from 27 feet to 28 feet
as R.O.W. and geography allows.
Landscaping concept will be based upon maintaining the current
median design, modifying the existing parkway landscaping design
to accommodate revised parkway dimensions, eliminating
landscaping not desired by property owners, and a few minor
modifications as deemed appropriate.

- Rady will provide "example" renderings as requested, but will not
prepare new renderings of entire roadway.
· Preliminary Design Phase
- Rady will utilize the current median layout shifting the centerline
of paving as needed to accommodate the usable R.O.W.
- The existing electric transmission alignment will be maintained.
- Some transmission power poles may be moved in the east-west
direction to accommodate proper road design.
- Five foot sidewalks on both sides of street.
Sidewalks alignment will wander according to R.O.W.,
landscaping, and geographical restrictions.
Review and adjustments will occur as is normally required in the
original agreement.
Changes to the roadway alignment from the approved concept plan
will be addressed as change to the scope of services.
Ken, I sincerely hope that we did an adequate job of communicating these
conditions.
Greg and I are available at your convenience to respond to any questions or
concerns or to be of further assistance.
Very truly yours,
