Ti~ompson and the City of Coppell dated April 29. 1987. This agreement states that upon construction of Royal Lane and its drainage improvements in accordance with the plan the City of Coppell will be responsible for the following: 1. All traffic control devices and coordination. 2. All informational signs and coordination. 3. rvlaintaining Royal Lane and all drainage facilities constructed irc accordance with the plan.. Therefore, any additional stop bars, railroad pavement markings, signage, striping and traffic buttons necessary in addition to those shown on the plans are the responsibility of the City of Coppell, We have stressed the importance of professionally marking, signing and buttoning the Cotton-LB J-Royal intersection and have presented the City a proposal for its design and coordination. A concern for mud in traffic lanes can be minimized by ensuring that the Contractor grades medians to drain on a ¼"/ft slope as instructed on Coppell standard detail sheets. The current excess amount of median fill at station 15+00 invites a maintenance problem and should be removed by the Contractor and reconstructed in accordance with the plan. A request for erosion protection for all ditch slopes should be re- evaluated in light of the following: Mr. Sieve Morton October 12. 1988 Page 7 1. If~undation of the channel as a result of preseri,t outfall conditions. 2. Probable further construction in channel "A" by the Postal Service. 3. Erosion protection should be limited to areas where, drainage concentrates before entering the channel. Please cio not hesitate to call if we can answer any questions. F, incerely, \ Direclor.
