Dear Mr. Stovall:
This letter is in response to your telephone call on October 13, regarding the right-of-way
acquisition on property owned by the Fellowship of Las Colinas. There was 20 foot of
right-of-way dedicated as part of the original Freeport North plat in 1984. CiCi's
Addition No. 1 and Gulf Bearing, Inc., dedicated an additional 12 foot of right-of way
when they were platted. The proposed k30-foot right-of-way acquisition on your parcel
matches the right-of-way already acquired along the north side of Bethel Road. There is
an Explorer Pipeline easement containing a 12-inch pipeline on the DFW Airport
property south of Bethel Road. The proposed back-of-curb can not be within five foot of
the centerline of the pipeline, preventing the roadway from being located further to the
south. In addition to the right-of-way acquisition on the north, the City is acquiring right-
of-way, varying in width from 11 to 40 feet, from the DFW Airport.
As per your request, enclosed are the RO.W. Acquisition plan sheets showing the
existing right-of-way, the right-of-way acquisition, and the centerline alignment of the
roadway. I have also enclosed the preliminary paving plan sheets. They have not been
revised recently and do not accurately reflect the right-of-way acquisition. Should you
