Dear Mr. Griffin:
The issue of the railroad grade crossing estimate not being of sufficient length to fully cover
the roadway and adjacent sidewalks has been resolved. The Contractor for the Railroad will
be instructed to install the crossing with sufficient length to span across the sidewalks. The
billing for this work will be in accordance with the written Agreements between the entities.
The issue of traffic handling for both train and vehicle traffic in order to accomplish the
proposed construction is the decision of TxDOT. This section will be closed to traffic during
construction if deemed necessary. The cost for the handling of traffic will be in accordance
with Item 502.
The approaches to the existing railroad crossing will be left in place and will not be adjusted
or replaced as previously discussed.
