in our joint meeting last week we discussed the nee6 to uncover
and locate the exiszing 30" water ]':ne in the ~ield. i reviewed
the c4t¥ of Lewlsvi!ie plans for Denton Tapp Road. In the area
cf Spur 552 the water line is relatlvely shallow and was field
verified by Lewisville. The plans propose the proposed storm
drain to cross under the existing JO" water !ize at the cross~ng
north o[ nhe ~tersect~on. '£he ~.e]d ties ~n the hewisville plan
match re~at~ve~¥ closely to the wauer ' !ne co:':~:t~'uc%.ion plan~.
It appears to ne that a c_~s .... g of The w%ter line by =he
proposed 3-6'X 5' culvert on the south side of spur would not be
feasible without adjustin9 the waist iin~. ~he Culvert would not
work going over for ~ure ~nd under neither without adjusting
water line.
We believe the hem= chance for crossing over -h~ e existin=, wa%er
line with out re~iring adjusting the ~ine~ would occur at the
grade break at station 227 as skown on =he attached pornicn of
the water llne plans. This is vsry clc~e tc one of the existing
chlvert crossings on Denton Tap Road. For ease cf location, we
suggest uncovering the existing line at tke~......~*.. si~e ~_~= the two
exi~=ing culvert sros~Lng lccatlons indicated as points A and
on =he attached cody of the 3c" water llne plans. We would also
luke no locate The line just north of
,.k .... bridge nainly for
horizontal verifica=ion near the pro~.sed bridge Cros~. Th~s
location will b~ close to the poim~ the propomed s~. draxm '::~
would turn nortk from Denton 5~p R~4 as well. S~uth. of the
bridge ~ke existing ~r vav!e cunft~ the wa~er line horizontal
!co=ion and uncovering the ~fne is not necessary.
We will coordinate with ~oward Pallor6 ~nd tb('~ ,~'Lv of Dallas to
uncover the exls~ing line for hi__ at uo~nts A,B & C.
