Sixth St. Irving, TX 75060 214/579-0232 RE: W&A #94093 ~ DENTON TAP ROAD; Coppell, Texas Dear Mr. Rudd: We have been contracted by the City of Coppell to design roadway plans for widening Denton Tap Road from a two-lane county road to a six-lane divided arterial street. The plans will begin at the north city limits line and extend to the south across Denton Creek to the existing improved roadway section. A copy of a rough concept plan is attached which indicates the approximate location of the proposed roadway. We are performing design surveys and ask that you assist in marking your existing underground facilities by January 27, 1995, if possible. We would like to obtain any plans you may have which indicate the horizontal and vertical alignment and size of your facilities. If you have plans for installation of future underground facilities we would also like to obtain a copy of the plans. We will attempt to avoid your facilities where possible based on the information you provide to us. We will be designing a bridge crossing over Denton Creek and may need to coordinate designing provisions for installation of conduits connected to the bridge for your relocated or future facilities. Please contact Mr. Ken Griffin with the City of Coppell at 214/304-3683 if you wish to coordinate provisions which will allow placement of conduits on the proposed bridge. At this time we cannot confirm locations where underground facilities may need to be uncovered to confirm potential conflicts. We will contact you in the future if uncovering of lines are needed. We will be preparing concept plans, preliminary plans and final plans on the project. At each of these phases we will forward to you copies of the construction plans so you may verify potential impacts to your facilities. The plans will begin at the north city limits line and extend to the south across Denton Creek to the existing improved roadway section. A copy of a rough concept plan is attached which indicates the approximate location of the proposed roadway. We will need to verify the horizontal and vertical alignment of the existing 30" water line along the east line of Denton Tap Road. At this time we have identified the major potential conflict locations to be at the proposed east bridge crossing and a proposed Culvert Crossing location 800'+ north of Denton Creek. We are working with Richard Karrey and Steve Loyd to roughly locate the line horizontally. We believe most potential conflicts can be confirmed by probing. The bridge crossing is extremely crucial and we anticipate the water line should be uncovered just north and south of Denton Creek in an existing tangent section. We will continue coordinating with Steve Loyd to locate the existing line. Our goal will be to attempt to miss the existing 30" water line but we cannot confirm the impacts to your line at this time. We look forward to working with you and are available to meet at your convenience. UTL:rjt Enclosures cc: Ken Griffin, City of Coppell pyOUrS, .L.S.
