Subject: Farmers' Market
On Tuesday this week I had the ~ to meet face-to-face with five representatives of
the Farmers' Market. I am attaching a copy of their 2004-2005 Farmers' Market Needs.
I would appreciate you holding some time open on January 7 after our Staff Meeting to review
these needs with me.

2004 2005 Farmers Market Needs
Origin of Farmers Market:
The Old Coppell Master Plan recommended that the City develop a seasonal farmers
market in old downtown as" an excellent way to support additional commerce and
pedestrian traffic for a relatively Iow cost ($15,000-25,000 start-up cost per season).
Possible Goal for 2004-2005: Incorporate Farmers Market into City structure as a
permanent presence, with part-time staff, budget and an independent Farmers Market
Board that handles policy decisions.
