Re: 121 Water line Grande Line locate at culvert
Thank you for the response,
We will proceed based on this information. Our technician will be working on the profile in order to get us
to completion.

Doug:
I asked Larry Davis about that. He said that Coppell would not pothole
the line - that we needed to cover the potential conflict in the plans
and specifications. Need to state that the Contractor is responsible
for all line locates - this will put the burden on him to contact
utilities including, but not limited to Digtess, Utilities Department -
City of Coppell and TxDOT. We can let him know that there is a
potential conflict with the Grande facilities. It will be the
contractors responsibility to make any known conflicts with the
horizontal or vertical location of the water line prior to starting
construction. If the existing Grande facilities are in horizontal
and/or vertical conflict with the plan design and the conflict can not
be resolved in any other fashion than relocation, then the City will
consider alternatives to resolve the conflict.
Suzan,
Last week we discussed the option for the City to locate the Grande
fiber optic line where it traverses under the culvert near Station
36+00.
Can this happen, or do we need to go elsewhere to complete the locate?
Our technician is returning from National Guard duty on Monday and this
information would be important to his work on the alignment and
profile.
Please let me know if you have determined progress on this issue.
Sincerely,
Doug
