On May 11, 2004 the City Council awarded a con~act to Craig Olden, ~tb~e '}econstruction of Shadow
Ridge Estates retaining wall. Cons~ction of this project will begin on or around June 28, 2004. The gabion
s~uc~re retaining wall will be cons~cted with rectangular, woven wire mesh baskets filled with stone. The
new retaining wall will replace an existing railroad tie retaining wall that is located within an existing 65-foot
wide drainage easement.
During construction, the noise and truck traffic in the vicinity of the project may be increased. One lane of traffic
on Plantation Drive may be closed for brief periods during the day while the trucks unload. The contractor
anticipates starting work at 8:00 a.m. and ending work at 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The contractor also
anticipates working on Saturdays. The project is scheduled to take approximately thirty days.
