Dear Ken:
In accordance with our meeting with you on December 5, 1994, Rady &
Associates is pleased to have the opportunity to consider alternative alignments
of Sandy Lake Road in order to avoid pavement conflicts with TU Electric's
transmission main on the south side of the road. Using alternative cross
sections you developed, we will shift the alignment of the road to the north
and eliminate sections which do not provide clearance with the transmission
main poles. Rady & Associates will design a revised alignment of Sandy
Lake l~ad using the alternative cross section which provides maximum
pavement area while maintaining clearance with these poles. We will then
prepare a preliminary construction cost projection for the revised alignment
along with a fee for additional engineering services associated with redesign of
the roadway, utilities, and landscaping to fit the revised alignment.
Rady & Associates will perform the above tasks on a reimbursable basis as
additional services under the terms of the existing Professional §ervices
Agreement between the City of Coppell and Rady & Associates. We estimate
the fee for these additional services to range from $7,000.00 to $10,000.00.
