MasTec North America, Inc., was awarded the contract to install a new sanitary sewer
fi)fcc main in the median of MacArthur Blvd., from Deforest Road to Village Parkway, as
part of the upgrade to our sanitary sewer system. At Village Parkway, it will proceed in an
easterly direction to the city's pump station, and then proceed southerly across Sandy Lake
Road to the existing sanitary sewer lift station, behind the vacant shopping center at the
southeast comer of MacArthur and Sandy Lake.
Directional Drilling is thc technique that the contractor will be utilizing on this project.
The directional drilling option was selected to mininqize the impact on existing trees and
landscaping within the median. The equipment associated with directional drilling is quite
large and at times noisy.
Construction Schedule is anticipated to take 300 days, beginning in June 2004 and
continuing through March 2005. During this time expect delays. You may want to seek
