RE: Sandy Lake Road Median Cut (ST 93-02)
Dear Mr. Bunch:
This letter is written as a follow-up to our various conversations and as a response to your request for
a median cut along Sandy Lake Road. On August 22, 1994, a site plan was provided showing the general
location of where the Kroger Company is requesting a median cut be provided with the construction of
Sandy Lake Road. This letter is written to inform you that the site plan will be processed to the City's
consultant, Rady and Associates, so that the median opening can be incorporated into the final
construction plans for Sandy Lake Road. If the site is not developed prior to the construction of Sandy
Lake, then the City would request that at that time the Kroger Company pay for the additional expense
of having those two items constructed. If Kroger is unwilling to pay at the time of the construction of
Sandy Lake Road, then those items will not be included in the actual construction.
Your site plan shows two driveways from your property onto Sandy Lake Road. Because of various
spacing requirements for our driveways, only the western drive approach will be allowed. The eastern
drive approach should be shifted further east to become a common driveway between this site and the
development at the corner of Sandy Lake Road and MacArthur Blvd. You should coordinate with the
owners of that property to determine the proper location for that future common driveway.
If you should have any other questions concerning this issue please feel free to contact me at your
convenience.
Sincerely,
Kenneth M. Griffin, P.E.
