ST9302-CS 941014 (3)October 14, 1994 Mr. Tom Morton Mayor CITY OF COPPELL 255 Parkway Boulevard Coppell TX 75019 Dear Mayor Morton: TU Electric transmission lines - 138,000 volts of electricity. What a relocation issuel Mayor, there are 119 families living in the Creekview development beyond concerned about the possibility of the relocation of these power lines to the south along the railroad tracks. Our voices must be heard in opposing this possibility. We implore you, the Council Members, City Manager, and the City Engineer to find an alternative solution to this relocation issue. To relocate the power lines to the south along the railroad tracks is not in our best interest. Financially, it is not in the best interest of the City. And evidently it is not in TU Electric's best interest either. Aesthetics, vehicle safety, health hazards, legal rights, and added cost to the City are all valid concerns. I firmly believe, however, the integrity of our City Government will prevent taking one neighborhood's problems and dumping them on another. This is not in the best interest of any one. Sincerely, Dorothy Creed President, Board of Directors Creekview Homeowners Association 237 E. Bethel Road Coppel! TX 75019 393-4865 cc: Mr. Jim Witt, City Manager ~/Mr. Ken Griffin, City Engineer
