CITY CONSIDERS OPTIONS ON TRANSMISSION LINES
Following the Monday, October 3, 1994 Special Called City Council
Meeting regarding transmission lines along Sandy Lake Road, Coppell City Staff
and TU Electric began working together to arrive at some acceptable options.
Rerouting is one of the options being explored.
City Engineer Ken Griffin stressed that his objective has always been for
citizens, the City and TU Electric to work together to find the best solution.
Griffin stated that "aesthetics, health concerns, cost and legal rights" would all be
taken into consideration. Currently no final decisions have been made. However,
it is anticipated options could be presented to the City Council within 60 to 90
days.
The City will rebroadcast the Monday, October 3 meeting on the Cable
Government Access Channel 19 beginning at 10 am on Friday, October 14.
