Given the fact that the velocity is decreasing, the water is being discharged at an existing defined
"channel", and that the discharge elevation is not changing, then the City will not require that the adjacent
property owner be contacted concerning the discharge of water.
It is still my opinion that you should contact them because it will be difficult to construct this project without
accessing their property, but it will not be required.
If during plan design or review or during construction one of the three mentioned items in paragraph one
change, ie. velocity increases, then the City will require contact of the adjacent property owner.
This response is based on the analysis and exhibit faxed to my office on 6/25/04 concerning "Storm Water
Flow".
If you have any questions please contact me at your convenience.

Ken, we will transition our channel to match the existing ground at the property line. The flow then
continues east to a wide iow area where we think the flow will be dissipated. Please see the attached City
topo map that shows the ground conditions down stream. Please let us know if the City requires any
additional documentation regarding this drainage issue before we move forward with this project. Thanks!

The approach to the problem looks ok. However, will the additional width of flow cause any problem
downstream in regard to width of the channel at your east property line, ie., is the channel cross section on
the adjacent property adequate to handle the additional width of the channel?
I am out of the office until 7/20/04 but I will check my email until 7/8/04.

Ken, please let me know your thoughts regarding the memo and exhibit regarding flow discharge on our
Sandy Lake Road project. ThanksJ
