Dear Mr. Witt:
[ am writing to express my disappointment in learning that the Coppell City Council recently approved the
preliminary design for the planned reconstruction of Sandy Lake Road that included large galvanized steel
transmission lines in the medians.
It appears to me there may be alternatives that have not been explored publicly by the Council, such as
seeking participation from TU in the expense of burying the transmission lines or offering another
transmission route. At a minimum, the electorate should have the opportunity to vote on the decision since
its outcome has an immediate impact on the quality of life in Coppell.
Coppell is a very nice place to live and raise a family and I hope it remains that way. Before a decision is
made that could adversely impact the quality of life here, I want to make sure the Council has explored
every practical alternative.
