~ WARRANTY
J-M warrants that its standard products are manufactured in
accordance with applicable material specifications and are
free from defects in workmanship and materials, using
J-M's specifications as a standard. Every claim under this war-
ranty shall be deemed waived unless in writing and received
by J-M within thirty (30) days cf the date the defect was dis-
covered, and within one (1) year of the date of the shipment.
Claims for product appearance defects, such as sun
bleached pipe, etc., however, must be made within thirty (30)
days of the date of the shipment J-M must first be given an
opportunity to inspect the product alleged to be detective in
order to determine if it meets J-M specifications and if the
handling, installation, and operating conditions have been -~
satisfactory amd are in accordance with J-M recommended
practices. Products sold by J-M which are manufactured by
others are warranted only to the extent and limits of the war
ranty of the manufacturer. The limited end exclusive remedy
for breach of the above warranty by J-M shall be the resupply
of a like quantity of non-defective product. J-M SHALL NOT BE
LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR OTHER
DAMAGES OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION.
ANY EXPENSES FOR REMOVAL OR REtNSTALLATION RESULTING
FROM ANY DEFECT. J-M MAKES NO OTHER REPRESENTATION OR
wARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, IN FACT OR IN
LAW, INCLUDING, WITHOIJT LIMITATION, THE WARRANTY OF
MERCHANTABILTY AND WARRANTY OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICU-

extreme temperatures a~d sunlight ~. Accordingly:
Ail PVC pipes are formuhted wi~ additives to resis~ degradation from sualigl~t. Howe~e~ ~ aesthetic
change in color may de~'elop when exposed outdoors. This s~,adk~g et'color occurs only on the s~thce of
the PVC pipe and is of a reD' shallow depth; measured usually at less than 0 O0 ! inch. ~ Eght of this, any
sun-bleached pipe supp~ie~ by J-M M~ufactu~g is covered under our s~d~d product
Pertai~ng to rose.ch on t~Js issue, a s~6y was conducted by the Urn-Bell PVC Pipe Association to
determine the efl~crs of ul~aviolm radiation on PVC pipe, in which pipe ~ p'.aeed in racks throughout
the United States fox a period of two yeas. The results xevealed that beta the tensile saen~a and the
moduBs of elasticity remus, ed vlr;ually uachmged, while ~e ~pact saen~h remained well wirh~ the
gove~og ASTM requirements
In conclusmt~, it has been determined that ultraviolet dewadalion will not have signirleant adverse errccts
on the mechanical prope~ies of und~b~ound regulated PVC pipe,
PVC pipe and gaskets can still be used after prolonged storage above grotmd trader normal conditions, and it is not
uecesse~y for the gaskets to be replaced unless there ~e appreciable s~gns of degradatior~ (sac~ as cracking) Per
