for the acquisition of the necessary right-of-way.

start the process for payment of the $2,832.00. When the check has been processed we can arrange
a mutually agreeable time to meet to notarize the Special Warranty Deed in exchange for the check.

Dear Mr. Padgett:
As you may be aware, the City of Coppell has been working on the design of Sandy Lake from
Denton Tap Road to MacArthur Blvd. since 1993. Because several major challenges associated
with the project have been resolved or will be resolved in the near future, the City of Coppell
is in the process of acquiring the right-of-way needed for the construction of Sandy Lake Road.
It is anticipated that the project will start in late 1997 or early 1998. The entire roadway project
will take upwards of two years to complete.
I apologize for not getting in touch with you sooner, however, there was an error in the original
right-of-way documents which failed to show that you have ownership of this parcel of land.
To proceed with the construction, right-of-way will be required from your property. With this
letter, I have provided a copy of the right-of-way document necessary for the successful
completion of Sandy Lake Road. Prior to the City expending funds to obtain the services of an
appraiser, the City would like to set up a meeting to discuss the acquisition with you. ~ This
meeting will be used to determine if a purchase price, agreeable to both parties, can be
negotiated without the added expense of appraisal fees.
Please contact me at (972)304-3679 to schedule a time that is convenient to discuss the
acquisition of right-of-way from your property. Because of busy work schedules, the City of
Coppell is willing to meet not only during the typical workday but after hours and on weekends.
This is a very important project to the City of Coppell and as such we will make ourselves
available to meet at your convenience. Again, please contact this office as soon as possible to
set up a meeting.
