TxDOT is preparing to begin construction on the Beltline intersection as
soon as the Contractors finish with the force main running through the
existing median. Because of the rains and the existing utilities the
projected date for them to be finished with our area is now next week.
Our Contractor will begin construction after they are finished, They
will be ready for the grade crossing to be installed in ten to fourteen
working days after starting construction. This would have the railroad
work on the weekend of 7/16/04 or the weekend of 7/23/04. Could you
notify the City Council the construction is beginning and the rebuilding
of the railroad crossing is coming soon. As soon as we have a good
start date we will notify you of the exact detour dates.
