Duane, I have not heard from TxDOT if you have the exact proposed dates
and times including a Detour traffic plan to the City of Coppell.

Thank you for your update. However, I need more information before I
present this to Council.
1) The date needs to be exact, ie., close road Friday July 16th at
10:00 pm and reopen Sunday July 18th at 6:00 pm (This is an example.
I would need something similar to present to Council.)
2) I need to see a plan for the detour that would be part of the
presentation of the agenda item to the Council.
The above information is necessary so we can do press releases, place
information on our web site and do some selective direct mailouts.
There also still seems to be some confusion on the proposed road
closure. I will not be going to Council to "notify" them that the
road
may be closed, I will be taking an agenda item to Council "requesting"
that they approve an action to allow the road to be closed. The
Council
has the option to approve or deny the request.
Without the information requested in items 1 & 2 above, it will be
difficult for Council to support a future road closure that does not
have a defined date or time or a proposed detour plan. Time is
running
out on getting this before Council on July 6. I need the above
information this week.
