This letter is written as a follow-up to my May 6th andXJUly 25th letters concerning the need to
acquire right-of-way from your property for the construction of Sandy Lake Road. Because of
the acquisition of right-of-way, it is anticipated this project could start in early 1998. To begin
utility line relocation it is imperative that the right-of-way on the north side.of Sandy Lake Road
be acquired as soon as possible. In an effort to expedite the acqUisition of the right-of-way, the
City of Coppell has revised its offer for this right-of-way. Therefore, the following represents
an offer from the City of CopPell for the acquisition of the right-of-way.
1. Purchase of 4,791 sq. fi. of right-of-way at $3.00/sq. ft.
$14,373.00
If you wish to discuss the acquisition of the right-of-way or if you need to be provided additional
copies of the right-of-way documents please contact this office at your earliest convenience to
discuss this project.
If this is acceptable to you please sign below and return to me. Once I have received the letter,
I will start the process for payment of $14,373.00. When the check has been processed we can
arrange a mutually agreeable time to meet to notarize the document in exchange for the check.

Dear Mr. McDonald and Ms. Jordan:
This letter is written as a follow-up to my prewous letter informing you of the need to acquire
right-of-way from your property for the construction of Sandy Lake Road. It is the City's intent
to begin construction on Sandy Lake Road in the fall/winter of 1997. The first step in the road
construction will be the lowering of the City of Dallas water line that is the sole water supply
to the Town of Flower Mound and as such needs to be taken out of service and lowered during
the winter when water usage is at its lowest. Therefore, it is imperative that the right-of-way
be cleared especially on the north side of Sandy Lake Road so that utility relocations can begin
in anticipation of the lowering of the water line this winter.
The City has been successful in acquiring numerous parcels of right-of-way along this section
of Sandy Lake Road. The price the City has been paying is between $2.50 and 2.75/per square
foot for the right-of-way. Included with this letter is a copy of the right-of-way document
showing that the right-of-way to be acquired by the City from your property is 4,971 square
feet. Therefore, the following represents an offer from the City of Coppell for the acquisition
of that right-of-way.
